(1) Positive Statement
What are you most proud of in your 2-Hour Presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
I am proud that I got to teach people on what dance/movement therapy is because this is not a very well known form of therapy.
(2) Questions to Consider
a. What assessment would you give yourself on your 2-Hour Presentation (self-assessment)? Why?
AE P AP CR NC
I would give myself an AE because eventhough I was nervous I was able to deliver all the information I needed to say. I also engaged my audience and by the looks of my different activities I could tell that they did learn a lot from what I taught them in my 2-hour.
b. What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project (self-assessment)? Why?
AE P AP CR NC
Over all I would give myself an AE because of the amount of work and research I've done. I didn't really come in with any contacts or connections. However, I managed to learn so much about my topic.
(3) What worked for you in your senior project?
Service Learning definitely worked for me, Working Bib, and 3-column. I was able to organize my presentation and I-Search based on my 3-column and I was able to stay organized throughout the year with my working bib, towers, etc. Service Learning worked because it was me experiencing everything I read and researched. Great experience.
(4) What didn’t work for you in your senior project?
What didn't work for me is that my interviews where late and that brought my grade down in a sense. Relying on someone else for my grade definitely didn't work for me.
(5) Finding Value
How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors? Be specific and use examples.
I've made so many connections throughout. I've learned so much about my topic that if I do end up following this career path I would go in knowing. I also know of a lot of workshops that happen so it would just help me over all move into this field of therapy.
I've also learned to contact people and that I can ask help to professionals and some are more than willing to help with what ever it is I'm trying to find out.
